Behind the scenes of latest editorial.
Do you know what I never used to be able to do? An editorial shoot on a Tuesday! For my own work! With a team of my choosing! Freedom is sweet, but not quite as sweet as the glorious ladies I had the pleasure of spending this Tuesday with! Loading into Metro Arts Studio with all my tinsel wares, I was joined by Haidee Lorenz (our photographer extraordinaire for the day) and the amazing girls from Bloodwood and Botanica, who unloaded their truck to fill the Whitlam Studio with all their amazing blooms. Acting as stylist / fly on the wall for the day, I couldn't help but take some of these behind the scene snaps (as it was all just TOOOO PRETTY!).
Bloodwood and Botanica's flowers were like a complete dream - like nothing I could have imagined myself! They had orchids, and these big tufty poles of wheat, and flowers that were so densely packed with petals that they may as well have been pom poms. They also brought with them a heap of ceramic goodies and trinkets to adorn the space with and act as vessels for their flowers. The first part of the morning, I just watched...kind of agape with joy...as they went about setting up their floral masterpieces, readying everything to head into our shoot later that morning.
As lunchtime approached, the amazing Carly Lim arrived to begin doing hair and makeup for the fabby Jolie Chatfield. I won't waffle on from here, I feel like the snaps kind of speak for themselves, in that we came, we saw, we tinselled...
Can't wait to share all the final images from the day!!
