Lately I have been making...

For anyone following my instagram, you might have noticed that I have been trying to take some time to experiment a bit more lately.  As much as I love fulfilling orders and bringing everyone their custom goodness, sometimes I get a little bit desperate to have a play and make something FRESH.  Taking the time to do this tends to keep my brain happy and invariably leads to me discovering fun new directions I might want to take things these new tulle/tinsel dresses I've been playing around with (lovingly dubbed 'the poodles') . I thought now was as good a time as any to show you some snaps of what I have been up to the last few weeks.

This silver/rust situation is a total fav!  Stand by for more of this colour blocking/tulle mixup.

This neon moment is the first poodle I tried my hand at.  I first had the idea for these dresses whilst on holiday in Tasmania last month and have been itching to bring them to life ever since.

This pinky is an obvious fav.  It took FOREVER to make, as it involved SO much ruffling...but I got there in the end.  Now, let's take a moment for this star crown?  I made it for Georgia from the band 'All our Exes Live in Texas' for their Splendour in The grass performance.  I'm pretty into it!

Then there are these low key pipe cleaner glasses that I am totally MAD ABOUT.  I first made a prototype of these at a recent workshop (kind of by accident) out of some cardboard frames.  Applying it onto some actual glasses turned out to be an ideal outcome of this experiment.

Finally, and possiblt most importantly, I tried my hand at making a little tinsel coat for my darling Daisy.  Needless to say it turned out pretty swell.

Anywho, that's it from me!  My next post will be about all things Splendour In the Craft!  So stay tuned!!
